What is this?

What Diet Mindset is NOT:

It is not a weight loss product that you buy in a box. It’s nothing that you mix up and eat or drink.

What Diet Mindset IS:

It is a brief (less than four minute) self-assessment that you take online. Then, you receive a drip-feed of three micro-motivator messages per week (M,W,F) with just-in-time delivery of just what you need to stay motivated and to maintain your Diet Mindset for optimal success with ANY weight loss program that you’re using.
Here’s why people fail their diets:

Any diet would work for ANY person, if we were identical CLONES , we’re not… therefore:

  • Some dieters are Impatient and want to wake up 12 pound lighter the next morning!
  • Some dieters need to diet with a buddy!
  • Some dieters need a support group of cheerleaders!
  • Some dieters are very cautious and never really get started!

Types of Dieters

The Decisive Dieter

never gives the diet a chance to work.

They begin a diet on Monday, and expect to awaken Tuesday morning 12 pounds lighter!

Significance:

This causes them to start & stop diets so quickly that they never give the program a chance to succeed.

To increase success:

Choose a program and stick with it for at least 8 weeks, and notice the difference!

The Interactive Dieter

makes progress when working w/ some friends, but maybe not when working alone.

They can quickly become enthusiastic, then just as quickly lose the enthusiasm if people don’t notice their progress.

Significance:

With increased social support, especially with others who are dieting, their success-rate increases.

To increase success:

Try some weight-loss lunch or dinner parties with friends who are also dieting.

The Steady Dieter

gained the weight patiently, and can lose it patiently.

They don’t like change, and as a result, they may adopt only a portion of a diet program because doing the whole thing presents too much change.

Significance:

They need to change their Mindset a bit to accept a certain amount of change.

To increase success:

Choose a program that has the least amount of impact on your daily routine.

The Cautious Dieter

spends too much time analyzing diets and too little time dieting.

They claim they’re ‘working’ on their diet, when actually they’re in analysis-paralysis mode comparing plan A, B, C, to Z and not making a pro-active choice in their own behalf.

Significance:

Continual researching is NOT dieting. They need to change their mindsets and become active agents, not passive ones.

To increase success:

Cast off the cocoon of researching, which is their blanket of avoidance, and make a pro-active decision to start. Now.
